  • DinnersMate is a dinner-with-strangers experience, made for people who want to meet new people in a light, safe and natural way.

    We bring people together at the same table, in a local restaurant, for a night of good conversation, sharing and real connection — outside social media and without pressure.

  • No. DinnersMate isn't dating, speed dating or professional networking.

    The idea isn't to find a match or force connections. It's to create a space where people open to meeting others sit at the table and let the conversation happen naturally.

  • No. You can come alone — and many people experience it that way — but you can also bring someone with you.

    DinnersMate was designed for anyone who wants to break out of their routine and meet new people, even without company. But if you'd feel more comfortable experiencing it with someone, that's possible too.

    The table is set so that no one feels out of place and conversation flows lightly, naturally and without pressure.

  • Tables are put together based on the information you share when signing up: city, age range, language, interests and the kind of experience you're looking for.

    The goal is to bring together people with some affinity and openness so the conversation flows naturally.

  • DinnersMate currently runs in Porto, Lisbon, Braga and Madrid.

    Dinners usually take place on Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:30pm. Available dates can vary by city, so check them when you book.

  • The exact location is revealed on the morning of the event.

    We do this to keep the surprise factor and to organize the tables better. We pick local, warm restaurants, ideally in central, well-connected areas.

  • An individual reservation is €6 and covers the organization, table curation, confirmations and the experience itself.

    Whatever you eat and drink at the restaurant is paid for on site, based on what each person chooses.

    To book, just open the DinnersMate app, pick your city and date, complete the sign-up and confirm your reservation.

  • Adults who want to meet new people offline. A mix of ages, jobs and stories — that's what makes every table unique.

  • Yes, within the window described in your booking conditions. Everything is managed in the DinnersMate app.

  • Warm spaces with the right atmosphere for a long conversation: neither too loud nor too formal.
